The Cape
Town International Convention Centre has been
designed by an internationally experienced professional
team, with operators and the RAI Group, applying their 100
years of convention and exhibition experience to the development
process. Widespread consultation with industry professionals
and user panels has also been a strong feature in the development
of the project.
The CTICC offers a purpose built, flexible
facility with 10 000m² of dedicated exhibition space,
two raked fixed seating auditoria for 1500 and 600 delegates,
a grand 2 000m² ballroom with magnificent city views
and over 33 break-out rooms. The centre offers event organisers
a state-of-the-art facility, with high tech infrastructure.
A deluxe 483-room ArabellaSheraton Grand Hotel is also integrated
with the centre.
Some Capetonians though have initially
found fault with the design of the complex saying "it
looks like a ship lost at sea". The design though,
especially looking from the Western Boulevard will grow
on the indivual over time.
