Snow
on Table Mountain? Yeah, sure. Really! Mother Nature surprised
the come2capetown team -and every other Capetonian- by laying
a beautiful soft white blanket of snow on top of the Mountains
of Cape Town; a first since a 1999.
We have not really experienced winter and the white flakes
falling down two weeks ago made it difficult to believe Spring
was starting in September.
The International Cape Town Fashion week put Cape Town on
the map and the first Southern Right whales that came to visit
us on the coast, unofficially opening the Whale Festival.
We look forward to visiting the Hermanus Whale festival at
the end of September.
The August 'winter month' made for fresh hikes and a fireplace
warming, taking enough time for your newsletter on Cape Town

Gentle
Giant arriving in the Cape: "It is a Whale"
He is black, stocky
and fat. He is 15 meters long, weighs 80 tons, cruises 8 km
per hour and he can reach an age of 90 years. He is definitely
one of the most dedicated visitors of the coasts of Cape Town.
Every year these gentle giants flock to our shores to calve
and mate their babies. Thousands of visitors come to see them
from close by. Wow! It is a Whale!

180 degrees during the First National Aids Congress in Durban.

clothing industry is the second largest sector in South Africa.
After the liberalization of trade. The sector sales of some
R 11 billion annually. The Western Cape is the strongest of
the three pillars of South Africa’s clothing industry, Gauteng,
and Kwa Zulu Natal. Exports are driven by the attractive conditions
offered in the Western Cape.
