The Zulu’s fought against the Boer settlers and the British. Eventually the British would defeat the Zulu’s through their use of firepower.

If you want to marry with a touch of the Zulu tradition, the bride will be beautified with traditional Zulu assessors such as a bandage, a belt and a chain of pearls. The wedding ceremony is held in the heart of the game reserve; close to the riverbed where beautifully dressed Zulu-dancers will initiate your marriage. A Zulu-priest will bless you wedding. After the ceremony with all the rituals such as drinking Zulu beer, the Sangoma (a Zulu sage with super natural power) will also bless your marriage, giving the couple wise advice for a happy marriage. After the wedding ceremony you will enjoy a game drive to experience the South African bush! During the game rive you can encounter leopards, rhino’s, giraffes, elephants, crocodiles, zebra’s and other wildlife.

When you return to the lodge, the candles and lanterns are lit and a delicious traditional Zulu-braai (BBQ) is prepared for you, off course with a good glass champagne! Roasted impala and other Zulu-specialties such as butternut, tomato dressings, meat fondue and the best South African wines will be served!
