The favorable international exchange

imported goods including gold (South Africa's chief export),

08h00 to 17h00 Monday to Friday and until 13h00 on Saturday.
Some stores stay open late on Friday evening until 21h00.

Close to the heart of the centre of Cape Town is

mall of Cape Town! Right in the middle of the old harbor,
lies the V&A Waterfront. This mall is a collection of
specialty shops and restaurants, and the entire complex
seems to double in size every few years! You can buy the
best fresh fish here, exclusive clothes and anything you
need when you forgot something to bring to South Africa.

Canal Walk
When you drive up (along the N1) to Canal Walk,
first you think you ended up in the middle of a fairy tale!
The exclusive and stunning architecture is worth enough
to visit Canal Walk! This mall is dedicated to provide the
ultimate shopping experience for visitors, both local and
international. You will find all kind of shops and it is
a little less expensive than V&A Waterfront. Canalwalk
has good standers of service, there is even a Tourism Shuttle!

Gardens Centre
It is maybe a little bit smaller than V&A Waterfront,
but in the heart of the centre (Gardens) is situated the
Gardens Centre. Two supermarkets (huge!), many shops, coffee
bars, email café’s and a liquid store you will
find here! You can buy the most beautiful flowers right
outside the Gardens Centre and don´t forget to tip
(like R2) the one who looks after your car!

Cavendish Square
The Mecca of the Southern Suburbs, in the heart
of Claremont is the newly built mall Cavendish Square. Many
locals prefer this shopping centre above V&A Waterfront
because there is not such a big crowd of tourists! Many
exclusive and funny shops you will find here!

Lifestyle on Kloof Centre
The Lifestyle Center in Kloof Street with shops,
movie theatres, restaurants and a gym is the best choice
to make when you are planning to shop. Besides the new shopping
centre, Kloofstreet is beautiful and you will find so many
nice shops here! Antiques, furniture, curious, funny gadgets,
trendy clothes, music, shoes, bakery’s, nice bars
and clubs to have lunch or a drink. When you look up, you´ll
see Table Mountain right above you! The vibrant Kloofstreet
also offers some of Cape Town’s best night entertainment.

This shopping area is one only insiders know and
it is fantastic! Along the sea road (you follow the M3,
direction Muizenberg) in Kalkbay there are many nice and

interior design, antiques, second-hand gadgets, food, books
and a lot of friendly people! After shopping, you go straight

Waterkant
Have to go here! Maybe you won’t buy anything
in this quite expansive area, but the shops are amazing,
specially the ones on the new square! The surrounding is
breathtaking! All the houses are painted in the most bright
colors! Pink, red, green, orange, yellow, white, purple.
A mix of Muslim oriented shops and exclusive international
trade you will find in the most colorful suburb of Cape
Town! On the square is a exclusive wine bar with more than
100 wines you can drink of the glass, a trendy Sushi tent
and for all your Italian whishes, you go to Andiamo!
